I love sci-fi fashion. Even though it portrays the wardrobe of the future, it always seems to lean on present day trends and style.
If you were a pre-pubescent teen in the late 80s / early 90s, you’ll remember that sweaters were in. They were itchy. They were bulky. And they were voluminous.
Wesley Crusher (played by Wil Wheaton) was the resident teenager on the USS Enterprise in Star Trek: The Next Generation. He wore lots of big space sweaters during season one (1987-88) and they were nothing short of amazing. Eventually Wesley gave them up for official Starfleet garb, but I bet he keeps them in a closet somewhere.
