Men Without Horses Graphic Novel

Men Without Horses is a graphic novel created and written by C.R. Baker. Characters were developed through a series of illustrated splash pages and design studies (below), which visually established each individual’s personality, motivation, wardrobe, accessories and physicality.

Featuring the four horsemen of the apocalypse (War, Pestilence, Famine, Death) and their benevolent counterparts, the four horsewomen of the genesis (Peace, Panacea, Abundance, Life), the story follows these immortals among mankind as they find themselves stranded on the earthly plane in post-Civil War America.
