University College Dublin Educational Comics
Finding Beo is an educational comic created in collaboration with researchers at the University College Dublin Institute of Food and Health. The story follows the adventures of Beo, a young girl curious about the bioeconomy, and her trusty dog Raja.
The comic was launched in conjunction with the BioBeo program in Europe: a two-year initiative committed to delivering innovative bioeconomy curricula in schools. The book was printed and also made available digitally.

There’s Something About Ammonia is a comic featuring a well-intentioned cloud of ammonia who wants to be better, aiming to increase awareness of ammonia emissions, impacts and solutions to the general public. Ammonia emissions are a global problem with local level impacts, so it is important to highlight this issue in as many countries as possible. The original English version was funded by EPA Research. The comic has been translated from English into 15 languages through a network of volunteers from within the COST-Action LivAGE and elsewhere. All versions are free to download.
